Jad Ghandour is a Lebanese fashion designer whose dresses have graced the catwalks of the world. His main atelier is in Beirut, Lebanon, with a showroom in London, UK. In 2008, Ghandour launched is brand, which began a series of successes that led to international recognition and to the global reach of his name- sake brand.
Before attending ESMOD Beirut, where he graduated in 2009, Ghandour presented his first show, held at the prestigious Sursock Palace and titled “I Have a Dream”. The widespread success of the collection crossed borders and led him to create dresses for Princess Breatrice of York, Princess Eugenie of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York for the royal wedding of Pricess Eugenie. This marks the first time a Lebanese designer has ever been commissioned to dress members of the British royal family.
His creations have been showcased on red carpets of major award shows in Hollywood and Bollywood, including the Academy Awards and the Grammys. The brand is a favourite of royals, socialites, A-listers, and international celebrities.
Ghandour has collaborated with several international brands, including Emanuel Ungaro, Chopard and Germany’s Next Top Model. He participated in the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, as well as the Miami Fashion Week, where he showcased the world’s most expensive diamond dress, valued at $1.5 million.
Following his show in New York, Ghandour was featured in American Harper’s Bazaar, in which he was labelled as “The New Elie Saab”. He has also appeared in several other major publications, including Vogue and Elle.
In December 2022, his Fall-Winter 2023 collection was released, marking a new era for the brand where subtle elegance meets edgy chic glamor.
